Reconciliation.
This hurts. A lot.
It’s simultaneously wishing I could just be ten years into the future already, while also wishing I could go back in time.
I went through an… experience.
And it shattered my soul.
Maybe I’m being dramatic. After all, everyone goes through significant life changes at some point. The thing is, I’ve been through those before- family issues, death, illness. I’ve seen it all, hell some of that has happened to me. But that’s the thing- it’s happened to me. I didn’t cause it.
But this time I did. I let my emotions get the best of me, made a poor decision and it changed me. I’m purposefully leaving that a little ambiguous- because what I’ve learned is that it doesn’t matter. The details of the story are arbitrary- it’s how we react afterward that’s more important.
